Behind the Scenes Instructions

The purpose of this activity is to better understand what each character might be thinking, feeling and wishing. Behind the Scenes provides a fictional account of an On the Reel character’s possible backstory—the story behind what we see. 

After reading and reflecting, students participate in a role-play activity in groups of 3 or 4. Each student plays a character from the clip and they each ask each other the questions that are provided on the Role Play Worksheet. Like an interviewing session, students record the answers on the worksheet provided.
