Behind The Scenes: Kevin

Kevin Couglin is new to the school and just started 6th grade. Kevin was homeschooled along with this three younger sisters. Four years ago, one of his sisters was diagnosed with leukemia and since then, his family has stayed close to home.

This year however, he had to enroll to a local school. On his first days, he fumbled with his locker and had a difficult time finding his class assignments. He felt so out out place and knew nobody.

Around the third week of school, just as he began to feel at ease, a group of older boys pretended that his locker was theirs. Every time he walked over to his locker, they would block him. He tried one day to push his way in and things got even worse.
